“His multi-layered photographs created in Photoshop and printed on metal draw you in. Photos within photos of every day objects and scenes in a kaleidoscope of shapes and vibrant colors teases you as you try to figure out what it is you are seeing. I find Rick's art fascinating and I bet, so will you.” — by photographer Michael Maloney

Dancing with the eye.

After more than 50 years as a Bay Area cinematographer,  I pivoted a while back to fine art photography. I find repeatedly that life is full of conflicting strands. These Images are my way to co-here a few of them. Now, at the age of 88, I continue to pursue this passion from our home in Amador City.

Every piece of my work starts out most frequently as a group of photographs that I’ve taken and then, using many Photoshop layers, compressed/blended/offset into a single Image. Currently I am working on a series centered around spheres. For anyone looking to honor a loved one, or her/himself, I also offer "Uncommon Portraits."
